Portland's Hoyt Arboretum is much smaller than, for example, the Columbia River Gorge. In fact, it encompasses less than 200 acres. Nevertheless, multiple photos in the Bird Portraits gallery were taken at the Hoyt Arboretum, and more images of bird species photographed there could have been placed in the Bird Portraits gallery. And unsurprisingly, several of the tree squirrels in the Mammal Portraits gallery were photographed at the Hoyt Arboretum. An even larger number of photos taken at the Hoyt Arboretum appear exclusively in either the Impressions gallery or in the Book gallery. But of special importance to me personally, getting to the Arboretum does not require motorized transportation.
