Welcome to Spry Eye Photography. Here you will find nature photographs of outdoor scenes, of animals, or of plant life. Some of the photos are quite realistic while others are more interpretive. The large majority of photos are formatted using landscape-orientation/16x9 aspect-ratios and hence are optimized for use as computer screen backgrounds. But they can be used for prints also. However, for some photos there are additional reformatted versions that use 7x5 or 12x8 aspect-ratios, which correspond precisely to standard print sizes. Overall, there are more than 250 different photos, and any individual photo can be purchased for digital download at full resolution without the watermark. This website may be considered the follow-up to my book "71 PHOTOS: VIEWS THROUGH A SEPTUAGENARIAN LENS". Hence the name "Spry Eye Photography". However, whereas the book is as much a narrative on aging and the passage of time (with some additional discussion of visual perception) as it is a photography book, this website contains only photos. While one of the galleries here is comprised entirely of photographs from the book, the other galleries contain predominantly newer photos, and I will be adding original photos going forward as the website evolves.
